When I think of this Nations educational system, I tend to fear the worst. I envision liberal professors standing in a lecture hall trying their best to indoctrinate impressionable students into a philosophy of racial and cultural abandonment in favor of a One World People perspective. Recently, my faith in the understanding of the individual over institutional education has been renewed in the form of a couple of college students that contacted me with a request for an interview so that they could complete an assignment.

Going into the interviews, I wasn't sure what to expect. I was pleased to find that both students were intelligent, articulate people who approached the subject matter with an open mind. At the conclusion of the interviews, I found a couple of common themes that came to light.

The first theme that became apparent was the expectations of the students. In both instances- I believe they expected to find more bigotry and what could be considered as Classical Racism. The Hollywood movie American History X came up once or twice as the expected standard of the Racialist Movement. It was quickly understood that basing your idea of Racialists based on a piece of cinema was similar to forming your opinion of the state of single parent households based on the daytime television shows that feature Baby Momma Drama such as the Maury or Springer shows. Its taking the absolute worst case example and accepting it as fact. In a world where the mass media controls each and every message that finds its way into the publics ear, the unrealistic depiction of unpopular or Counter Culture ideology is all too commonplace.

After the questions were asked, I asked one of my own: What did you find out that you didn't expect to? Both answers were identical- that they were surprised that the Racialist Movement is based around the idea of developing and elevating your own race and culture, and not about destroying others. In bold contrast to the media driven image of the Angry Bigot, the reality that Racialists are deeply involved in community and charitable endeavors came as a surprise.

I wish both of the students the best of luck on their assignments, and applaud them for taking on such a controversial topic as Contemporary Racism. I feel that I learned as much as they did from the questions that they asked, and I appreciate their time.
