On the morning of September 11, 2001- Islamic terrorists murdered 2,571 men, women, and children in what could be considered to be the most horrific attack on the American people in the Nations history. That day, 19 hijackers took control of four airliners, using two of them to fly into and ultimately collapse buildings within the World Trade Center Complex.

For Americans young and old- the events of that morning signaled a transition from America the mighty- to America the vulnerable, as the entire nation watched as our own burned, jumped to their death, and perished in the name of Islamic Jihad, or Allah's Holy War. Unaware, for the most part, until the war on America started- The public soon became unwillingly educated to the fact that the followers of the Islamic faith view the West in general, and the White American in particular, as their mortal enemy- vowing to Attack us in our beds as we lay sleeping with our wives. To the Muslim- there is no death to kind or undeserving of the "White Devil" of the West.

Less than a decade later, as the gaping hole left in downtown New York rivals the hole still open within the heart of the American over the loss of that historic day- There is a proposal that seems to be moving forward with the velocity of a freight train that is trying to construct an Islamic memorial on the site where so many innocent peoples lives came to a sudden and abrupt end.

The proposal set forth by a coalition of Islamic groups in the area and nationwide sets forth a plan to build an Islamic Cultural Center within blocks of the site of the attack. Led by The Cordoba Initiative, the reasons behind the Mosques construction is to achieve a tipping point in Muslim-West relations within the next decade.

Leading the effort to get this monument to anti-Americanism constructed is Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, founder of the American Society For Muslim Advancement. The proposed $150 Million center is promoted to the public as a place where Men and woman stand up, raise their hands up on either side of their head, murmur "Allahu akhbar", and then bow and kneel again. Also within his proposal were initial plans to construct not only a large Mosque, but also an Islamic museum, conference rooms set aside specifically "To counteract the backlash against Muslims in general", as well as storefronts and eateries.

On the outside- the so called "Cultural Center" may seem like a good addition to any city, but upon even a cursory examination of exactly who is sponsoring it, and what ideology will ultimately be preached from within its walls- that feeling of well being rapidly fades away as the true nature of what is proposed finally comes out.

Americans don't want a reminder of who the enemy is at the scene of their greatest triumph, and that is what this Mosque represents to a majority of people. Even the most accepting of Americans, their constitutions softened by the overwhelming push to accept multiculturalism, can see that there is as much room for this Mosque in New York, as there is room for Islam in America- close to none. This building is simply not welcomed.

With an overwhelming majority of Americans opposed to this proposed construction- how could the project move forward? It would seem that the two most prominent lobby's pushing the idea toward reality are the Islamic and Muslim lobby (no surprise there) and shockingly- the Jewish lobby. Partnered with the Cordoba Initiative are The American Jewish Committee, The Jewish center of learning and leadership, and Jews for racial and economic justice. Partnered with the Arab American Family Support Center, the United Nations Alliance For Common Ground (no relation to the commonly accepted definition of the United Nations), and the American Society For Muslim Advancement- these institutions are twisting the knife in the wound by ignoring Americas pleas not to construct a building that would force them to relive one of the worst events in their lives every time they walk by it.

Heavily lobbied by one group that sees us as their enemy, and another that sees their homeland as needing protection from the very same people that they are trying to make comfortable here on American soil- there seems to be no voice sticking up for the "White Devil" who's only crime is being an American. As the Muslim and Jewish lobby's throw money at those who can influence the outcome of this project, including Mayor Bloomberg- its looking like its construction is unstoppable. Even though a recent poll puts Americans opposing the Mosque at a two to one ratio. The enemy has essentially bought its way into the heart of NYC by throwing enough money around to make those who have influence forget about the tragedies of September 11, and remember their bankbook.

A center dedicated to those who wish to destroy us is inappropriate for New York. Its inappropriate for any location in America. The Muslim is the self professed enemy of the American- and in return we must be the same to them, or risk extinction. Allowing a center designed to preach hatred for our kind, and possibly serve as a recruitment center for those who's goal it is to commit terrorist acts against our Nation, is against the best interest of every American. It is our duty to our God, Country, and family to do everything within our power to see that the hallowed ground that serves as the final resting place for so many undeserving victims never sees a memorial to their murderers built upon it.
