Religion's Strangle On White America
Religion has much to do today with how society functions as a whole, but just what is religion and what effects does it have on us? I was listening to talk radio on my way to work the other morning, listening to the same old drone of politicians fighting for votes on the upcoming elections this month. It got me thinking about how much religion has effected the way our government works and how it ties quite well into the White Nationalist scene.
So just what is religion? Is it the worshiping of a higher being, going to church, following the word of someone else? In simple terms yes, but religion is much simpler than that. Religion is what I believe to be a man made concept to explain life in ways that science couldn't. Think about it, when the ancient cultures and civilizations were cultivating crops they prayed. They prayed for rain and sun. Why does the sun come out, why did it rain? Well we now know the sun doesn't come up or out because we pray for it, it comes up because of the rotation of the Earth and we know it rains because of moisture in our atmosphere and evaporation from the world's oceans. In ancient times, this was unknown. There you have it, the basis for all religion. Simple as it may be, it has come to dominate cultures and civilizations today.
Religion has deep roots in the United States in government, law, our daily lives and many other services of life. I wish to explore the impact religion has on Capital Punishment or the death penalty in our corrections system today. The much heated debate over taking ones life for crime rages on today as it did many years ago. In a basic concept, right wing politics is simply pro death penalty while the left the opposite. Arguing over such a topic relatively gains neither side support as most people are simply stuck in their own thought process. There is no standard for what a crime is punishable by except for the measurements or corrections put forth by our government. So how does religion tie into Capital Punishment?
Inmates receive special privilege when it comes to practicing religion. They get to worship as they please (pending behavior one can assume) with fellow inmates of the same faith. I had the luxury of touring a prison here in the state of Connecticut while attending a local university and got to witness first hand where and how they practice. Now when presented in front of a judge, one who practices religion may get some leniency for setting an example of being somewhat of a role model on how to act. Basically a free pass and a second (often times more) chance at life. Our correctional systems are so backed up that it gives hardened criminals a chance at “salvation” and redemption by becoming so called one with their “lord” giving off the facade they are now cured of any wrong doing. This can play a major impact on whether or not an ongoing criminal case will play out due to the fact it takes years to resolve to do backed up red tape in our judicial system and the fact that most death row inmates sit there for a period of up to and exceeding 15 years.
Our correctional system needs an overhaul and a simplification of basic punishment. Ideally eye for an eye would suit best in cases such as murder but we all know that doesn't happen. Religion has gained such a strangle hold on government and crime, that we simply can not process these low lives fast enough. The constant debacle over cruelty to human life based on religion has tormented our criminal justice system for years simply because we value human life above all when the true fact of the matter is, we created the survival of the fittest mentality based on religion, yet human civility impacts us into spinning our tires in the mud for heinous acts.
You the reader must now be wondering how this effects White Nationalists or the so called “cause” or “movement.” Simple, religion is a key stress factor to the failure of our progress. The constant bickering over who is right and who is wrong plagues our ideals and our unity. Every forum or message board I have ever come across typically states that arguing over religion won't be tolerated, blah blah blah...banishment etc etc etc. Guess what, it still happens. Underlying tensions based on religion will only slow the process of a true movement in the right direction. Basically, religion needs to go. If you think about it bluntly, religion is a crutch. It is a crutch to those who hope and pray for a better life rather than work and struggle to achieve it. It is a crutch for those who have made mistakes in life and are unable or unwilling to correct them on their own merit. Put religion where it belongs, in fairy tales. Be a solid brother or sister, support your friends and family, leave religion for the psychos who can't live life morally sound. This “cause” is a slow strenuous process and religion is just slowing it down. Put your race before your personal practices and something might actually get accomplished.
